I’ll admit things have been a bit quiet around here lately at HighRevsPhoto.com. Being located in the northeast has its advantages and disadvantages. On the plus side I’m located within easy driving distance of two of America’s premier road courses in Watkins Glen and Lime Rock Park, but the unpredictable weather thats plagues this area each year means the racing season doesn’t really kick in until late June. But when it gets going around here, oh boy does it ever!
In the coming weeks the teams and drivers of Indycar, ALMS, Grand Am, and World Challenge will be making their annual stops in the northeast and I’ll be there to capture every moment of the action. The Grand Am Sahlens 6 Hours of the Glen will kick off an action packed stretch of races for me that covers 4 weekends, 5 racetracks, and 2 countries! Once a winner has been crowned and the champagne has been sprayed in Watkins Glen I’ll be on my way to Lime Rock Park in Connecticut for the ALMS Northeast Grand Prix. With full media access to the event it should provide some of my best shots to date. From there its on to Pocono Raceway for race day at the Pocono Indy 400 before rejoining the Indycar circus north of the border the following weekend on the streets of Toronto, Ontario. I haven’t been to Toronto since the CART race in 2002 so it will be exciting to see how things have changed over the years. I’ll cap off my whirlwind tour of great North American road courses with a trip to the track formerly known as Mosport on July 19-21. ALMS, Porsche GT3 Cup and Star Mazda always provide no shortage of thrills so to say I’m excited for my first trip to Canadian Tire Motorsports Park would be a massive understatement.
Throughout the entirety of this massive trip I’ll be posting plenty of updates and photos to the blog and keeping in touch with all of you. Who knows I might even post a full resolution wallpaper or two for you to enjoy! So check back often to see whats going on here on the High Revs Photo blog. Exciting times are ahead so stay tuned!
